Washington Walkabout
This past Saturday I went with my new roommate Pete to meet some of his friends in D.C. We did a ton of walking. First we were looking for the Westin at 1400 North M. Street on South M. Street. Then we walked from their hotel to the monuments to learn there aren't any restaurants around the monuments. We wanderd towards chinatown and found a cool cigar bar with great chips and salsa about 10 blocks away from the Washington Monument. THEN we walked back to the Washington, saw the new WWII monument, Lincoln and Vietnam Memorials.
I'd like to ask everyone one favor. When you go to the Lincoln Memorial, please keep your Forest Gump references restricted to one. That way you blurt out your best and favorite Forest Gump line. It now irritates me that the memorial to arguably the second greatest president has been reduced to being remembered because of a movie with a slow man.
You can see all the photos here along with the random assortment below.

Some of the 4,000 Gold Stars on the WWII memorial that represent the almost 400,000 Americans that died in WWII.
