COME ON YOU WHITES!!!
I've been following the English Premier League since the 2006 World Cup. My first year, I liked Tottenham Hotspur. They are in London, have an underdog history and yet have money to compete, and it's just a cool name. I rooted for them last year and especially this year when they won the League Cup.
Since last year, I've migrated to the Fulham Football Club. The biggest reason is at the beginning of they year, they had three Americans on their team that I liked: Brian McBride, Clint Dempsey and Carlos Bocanegra. They've since added Eddie Johnson who is another important part of team USA.
Anyways, a month ago, I thought they would be relegated to the league below. Any team in the bottom three places in the EPL are dropped to the "Championship" and their top three teams come up to the premireship. They've won 3 away games. This was a team that hadn't won an away came since September of 2006 , I believe, before the win at Reading. Now they need to duplicate the results of Reading and Birmingham City, the teams that are 2nd and 3rd bottom to stay in the league. I think they have a good chance. Most of the Fulham internet community agrees.
I'm going to go watch some soccer this morning. It should be fun.
